Adam Michael Reed (born 8 May 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Sunderland as a midfielder.
Reed joined the Sunderland youth set-up at the age of eight, and became a reserve team regular by 2009.[2] In February 2011, he joined Brentford on a month long loan deal.[2] He made senior debut in his home town, as on 5 March he replaced Robbie Simpson 58 minutes into a 3–0 defeat to Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.[3] He won his first start three days later, in a 1–0 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.[4]
Reed signed a one-month loan contract with Bradford City on 29 September 2011.[5] He returned to Sunderland at the end of October having made four appearances for Bradford City with injuries also plaguing his stint at the club.[6]
